Opening day is almost upon us!! Opening day will be on April 28, 2012 begging at 10am. We will be having pictures prior to opening day for most teams and right after ceremonies for others. I will give each coach their designated time slots for pictures. Opening day is a fun event for everyone. Each team will have a practice game against another Calvary team that will last for an hour. A schedule of game times will also be handed out to coaches. I am excited about the fast approaching opening day (as i hope everyone else is) and look forward to a wonderful season!

   We have had an exciting and successful year for baseball. It's hard to believe that we are in our seventh week of baseball games with only two more weeks to go! Thank you to everyone who helped make this baseball season such a blast!

   Please don't forget that we will be having our "Calvary Temple at the Modesto Nuts" night coming up on June 29th! General admission tickets cost $6 and will be fun for the whole family. CT ball players who wear their uniform to the game will be in a special on field parade before the game begins. Will be alot of fun and a great way to end our season. I hope to see everyone there!

   Another fun event we will be having is our co-ed adult softball league! I am taking sign-ups for that now and we will begin games in just a few short weeks. This is a great way to get out and have some fun as well as make new friends. All games will be held at Calvary Temple and will be on saturday afternoons. You must be fourteen years or older to play and cost is $25 per person to play.

   With baseball season coming to a close that can mean only one thing...Football season! We are taking sign-ups for football and cheer now. Kids must be age six by July 25 to participate. Practices will start on July 25 and the season will run through October. The oldest a kid may be is 14 and going into 8th grade.

   Also if you are interested in being a Football coach OR a Cheer coach and would love to make a positive impact on kids please give me a call. As this is our third season as a program I am excited to see us grow as a program and where God is going to take us!

A New Year has come upon us quickly! As much fun as we had last year it is time to gear up for another new and exciting year ahead of us. With that we will be having Baseball/Softball sign-ups every Saturday and Sunday during the church services as well as the next three Saturdays: Jan 15, Jan 22, and Jan 29 from 10am until 1pm in room 116 which is located by the sports office. We will also have Football/Cheer forms available for those who wish to get started early :) Any questions feel free to contact me at the church office. 

I am honored and blessed to be a part of the Sports Outreach Ministry and what God has for us in the future. It has been and always will be our goal to see every child, young adult and adult be shown the love of Christ through relationship as well as learn and grow and have FUN while playing the sports we love. I look forward to seeing everyone of you over the next few weeks and wish everyone a great year!
